Just for the record ...

I support the public crucifixion of the inhuman, animalistic, bloodthirsty killers of
Matthew Shepard
and the permanent caging of their two "girlfriends" who supposedly urged them to commit -
and then helped them to attempt to cover up -

their hideous crime ...
.
May Matt forever rest in peace ...

INSIST that your legislators enforce a Bill against HATE CRIMES ...
You don't need to be "gay" - nor even sympathetic to "gay causes" in order to be in danger ...
HATE CRIMES are committed every day - due to many different underlying prejudices ...
And prejudice and bigotry are the primary motivation of HATE crimes ...
They're born of ignorance - not in "knowing better" about any particular race, gender, etc.

Some will try to have you believe that those who are in support of a
Hate Crimes Bill
want to punish motive more than the "actual offense" itself.
Intent and premeditation seem pretty important elements to us ...
Then again, these are the same ilk who are real busy at playing tiddlywinks
and tying up the functioning of our government
by sticking their noses in Bill's dirty laundry -
while Rome burns ...

Someone might think YOU don't "look right ..."
or that you gave them a "nasty look ..."
or said the "wrong thing" to them ...

There ARE those who are laughing out there.
Maybe because they like being on the distributing end of the aggression ...

Maybe they should stop for a minute to consider how they'd like to be on the receiving end ...
And not so disillusioned to think for even a minute that they're immune ...

SUPPORT THE PASSING OF A FEDERAL HATE CRIMES BILL

If for no other reason, so that our society will have this deterrent in place ...
