there's a "story..." Of course, there's ALWAYS a "story" - especially THESE
DAYS, now isn't there? I let Al write the story - because as we all know,
he has SUCH A WAY with WORDS ... (LOL)
These fuckers gave us a "hard time" the last time we went in there to try and take another sequence of photos. Some of the ones shown here are from the first session. At that time, I was alone and no one bothered me - despite the fact that there was actually a funeral GOING ON in the distance and all of the guys who were waiting there to do the burial were right next to me, saw exactly what I was doing (namely, TAKING PHOTOS) and never said a fucking word about my doing that.
The last time that we were doing that, a security guard came over and told us that it was "private property" and that photography wasn't allowed ... I went to the extreme of calling the office - several times - to inquire about this. It was kind of important to us because we were trying to do a "Goth" photo shoot - for specific purposes. Well, even though both I and my friend who was involved called them several times, the assholes never called us back.
My conclusion? The security guard was a power tripping fucking asshole and just didn't like two guys all dressed in black taking "weirdo" photos there. FUCK him. I say that the place belongs to everyone - and is for everybody to enjoy. Accordingly, here is a good beginning glimpse at it - for all online to enjoy.
Seriously - if you get the chance to, see this place. The pics I'm putting up today do NOT do the "garden" part of the cemetery justice because they are taken off season, before all of the trees are in leaf and the flowers in bloom. Anyhow, they do give a good idea of some of the awesome monuments which are in there ...
