Fripp, my male dog, was born in August of 1995.
(Yes, he's named after the British experimental musician Robert Fripp).

Maggie, my female dog was born in August of 1998
(She was already named when I adopted her).

Maggie also appeared to be really mean - everyone kept telling me
that I would have to get rid of her; that I'd NEVER be able to "train" her. I knew better.
I knew that - not unlike a withdrawn or even violent child -
she'd been thru some seriously abusive shit.
I knew that, with patience, she'd change.
Today she is the most lovable dog that anyone could ever imagine.
