This is me - playing with my parrot, "Blue Skies ..."
I had her for 5 years, then suddenly she took sick and died. God, was I heartbroken.
Like my sister had said to me, I never really thought of a bird as a very "interactive" pet, but I learned that this is not the case. They become very attached to you and you to them. "Blue" was an Amazonian blue-fronted parrot - a medium-sized variety. Some of the larger parrots, like the Macaws and Cockatoos can live up to - and even beyond - 75 years.

I stand in defense of equal rights for ALL ...
no matter

   WHAT they believe in ...
   HOW they live their lives ...
   WHO or WHAT their "God" is ...
   WHO they're sleeping with ...
(providing the parties are consenting ADULTS)

WHATEVER ...
as long as whatever it is they believe in or are doing
doesn't interfere with the rights of others.

In THAT case, I hold strict opposition to them.
